DPA Australasian State Teams Championships
2016 saw the DPA (Dart Players Australia) hold the inaugural Australasian Championships which was an event that saw teams from across Australia and New Zealand compete for points, trophies and a total prize pool of $45 000 plus 2 x wild card spots in the Sydney and Auckland PDC World Series events.
This event will run again in 2017. DOSH is the Western Australia affiliated partner of the DPA and as such players wishing to represent WA in this event will need to qualify and be selected in our DOSH team through a series of qualifying events.
How to Qualify
Qualifying will by order of merit. Players will earn order of merit points by competing in 8 x WA State Qualifying events run over 4 weekends with a separate event on both the Saturday and the Sunday of that weekend. Check our Events page for details as they are finalised.
The events are open to any and all players wishing to qualify regardless of where they are affiliated or even if they are are affiliated with a darts association or club.
To be eligible for state selection, players must play a minimum 6 out of the 8 qualifying events. Players must be available to travel to Dubbo in NSW from the 27th October – 5th November 2017.
Event Dates
April 15th and 16th @ Osborne Park Bowling Club.
All other dates will be announced shortly and will be staged at the Vasto Club.
The Vasto Club, 5 Vasto Place, Balcatta.
Prize money available for top 4 players in qualifiers. Winner $100, R-up $50, S/F $25 each.
Entry fee of $25.00 per player per event.
DOSH dress code will be enforced, no Jeans, no Tees, only collared shirts allowed, open toed footwear or offensive designs or wordings on dart shirts will not be accepted.
The venue operates very competitive priced drinks and food and is fully licensed.
No outside food and drink to be brought into the venue.
